Scientific and Practical knowledge will be the key building blocks for all government sponsored marine spatial planning (MSP) that guide Hope Zone local communities into the future.

We will in partnership with Colab+Atlantic and NOVASBE produce scientific studies based:

Describing unique biodiversity and
Potential for carbon absorption of proposed and existing MPAs – sale of blue carbon as a form to help sustainable maintenance and development of MPAs and their respective local communities;

The power of good and creative communication is critical for our activism.

Through our partnership with Bro Cinema our passion for Nature and its beauty will drive necessary inspiration to protect and regenerate our coastal human and natural eco-systems

Events and Educating the Youth are key for inspiring locals to participate in Marine Spatial Planning sessions; participate in Stakeholder Engagement Meetings to guarantee politicians are making decisions for the collective good and not special interests.
Community events such as beach and harbor clean-ups, film festivals, surf classes and workshops as well as Ocean Literacy action with local schools are the Hope Zones Foundation main form of local activism as well as recruitment for local Businesses to participate in Sustainable Certification program.

Our partnership with Colab+Atlantic and Surf Academia JM will allow us to continue Promoting and being part of Ocean Literacy activities in schools and Community Events in Nazaré, Sintra, Arrifana and Azores - essential Hope Zone tools for meeting and connecting with locals and their families.
